The Life and Times of Carl Nelson

 In a casserole of poems and essays, the author struggles to do his work.  The route will include medical school, bus driving, copier sales, marriage, playwriting, production, and other schemes for purchasing time to think.  

  Our author's next home is Appalachia where he enjoys a casserole of lives and events. Each of us bears a remarkable knowledge of life as only we have grown to know.  Even the very stupid know things that we can't.  And this authenticity grows and accumulates as we age.  The author and the region team up on this memoir.
